OTHER QUIRKY THINGS

We couldn't think of any other sectors who regularly utilise our services, but the page would look uncomfortable without a final 'box'. So instead, we've used this space to tell you some interesting things about Pyrocel...

A TRUE LEGEND - Dave Clarke, a former colleague, fantastic Sales Representative and friend to all was formally a professional goalkeeper for Newcastle United and Blyth Spartans. Clarkie, as most know him, was Willie McFaul’s understudy in Newcastle’s last major trophy success; the UEFA Fairs Cup triumph of 1969. He also played at St. James Park for the Spartans in the FA Cup and was capped 16 times for England at semi-professional level.

STRANGE BUT TRUE - In 2011 we installed the fire alarm system at St. Mary’s Lighthouse, Whitley Bay… It has a short concrete causeway which is submerged at high tide so working shifts were flexible shall we say!

AVOID THE CONFUSION – We changed our name from Cormeton Electronics Ltd to Pyrocel Ltd in June 2021.

NOTABLE CLIENTS - Mark Clattenburg, former Premier League referee and in charge for the 2016 UEFA Champions League final and the UEFA Euro 2016 final, was once one of our customers… Mark is considered one of the most highly-rated European referees of his generation and also knows his way round electrical installations.
